April 15 and the paint is finished! Six beautiful coats, the next several classes will be devoted to hand rubbing it out.
The Isetta originally used shredded coconut pads under the vinyl seat covers. We located a supplier out of Germany who still stocked pads for restoring early BMW, Mercedes Benz, and VW seats. We needed to do quite a bit of fitting, but, in the end, were very happy with the results. We also reproduced the original inspection tags.

Larry, a long time friend of our community and avid gearhead, took time from his busy schedule to give Brooke lessons in prime and painting. His remarkable talent, enthusiasm and patience make him a terrific teacher.
The shop is ready for the first get-together of the new term. Mark, McKenna and Brooke worked on the car over the summer.
Our car is in finally in it's first coat of prime.
