So far we have removed the body, and are only just starting to make a list of the things we will need. We won't get into the motor and gearbox for several weeks. As it becomes necessary to purchase replacement parts, we'll try to find NOS (new old stock) parts, or near perfect used parts first, then have a look at reproduction items. We found with the Sprite project that although many repro parts were quite good, some were not, and we would like to avoid having to either re-work or return items. We were given a new drive shaft, two donuts, new exhaust, and a gas tank by the previous owner. If you have an extra of anything on the list, and would be willing to part with it, drop us an e-mail and give us a fair price. If we have it in the 'cookie jar' we'll jump at the opportunity to acquire a needed piece. If you have an extra, and would like to donate it, we are a California non-profit and will send a receipt for your taxes. We also understand that these Isetta parts are difficult to find and often expensive, and not everyone can donate even though they would like to. If you have something on this list and would be willing to sell it, give us a chance. One thing we can never get too much of is advice, especially from those of you who have been down this road before, please drop us a line if you have any thoughts on this project. We are far from pro's, five or six kids and an old guy we try to keep from wandering off. Here's what we need so far:
